Excellent work done by RPF Staff of Puri reg. recovery & hand over of left behind/missing luggage’s, valued-Rs-60’000/-

While Officer’s & Staff of RPF Puri [ SI Prashant Ku Sethi & others] were engaged for conducting drive against undesirable elements at Puri Railway Station area & inside the Stabled Coaches of train No.02865 [LTT-Puri] Express to prevent Criminal activities & untoward incidents, noticed one black colour bag was kept under the seat No. 09 [Lower seat] of Coach No.B-1. As the train was already reached at the destination i.e. Puri [PlatformbNo.02], so there was no any passenger available. After adopting security related formalities, the recovered bag brought to RPF Post Puri & informed the matter to IIC RPF for further direction about the disposal of recovered items. During checking the recovered bag RPF team found 01 wallet, Cental Bank ATM Card, music Player, Ray-Ban Sunglass, 01 wrist watch of apple company, Mobile charger, Power Bank, Liquid Cash Rs-13500/- etc total valued about Rs-60000/-. To know the contact number & details of the passengers, who availed their journey in seat No.09 of B-1 Coach, above named RPF Officer made Co-operation with commercial Dept, but it could be noticed that the above seat was booked Ex-Raipur-Raigarh on the name of one Abhishek Rupeta, further it is also noticed that the said ticket was booked through e-ticket and no any contact number was available to connect with the concern Passenger. Accordingly as per direction of IIC RPF, necessary correspondence & Co-ordination made with Central Bank of India to get details of recovered ATM Card holder. On the basis of request competent authority of Central Bank of India provided the contact number of the ATM Card holder, which was linked in his account. After that SI Prashant Ku Sethi contacted in that mobile number and the said call received by one Abhishek Rupeta, S/O-Tara Chanda Rupeta, At-House No.24/508, Beladula Road, Gulmohar Colony.PS-Raigrah Sadar, Dist-Raigrarh [Chhatigarh]. The respondent informed to RPF Officer that 20.11.2020 he travelled in train No.02865 [LTT-PUI] Express Ex-Raipur to Raigarh in Coach B-1, Seat No. vide PNR No. 8432962156, but he mistakenly left behind his bag at the time of get down down at Raigrah Railway Station, but he know about his mistake after reaching at his home & he was sure that his luggages can’t be recovered. After getting information on 22.11.2020 at 15.30 hrs he attended RPF Post Puri and the recovered bag containing that items handed over to him with proper acknowledgement and due verification. After receipt of his luggages, the above named person told that ” he has practically never seen this types of honesty by an uniform Staff & it is possible only in the land of lord Jagannath. He also appreciated the honesty & unimaginable event done by RPF Puri.
