Puri: The Collector & DM, Puri’s briefing dt 24.09.2020. Virology lab started in Puri , around 100 RTPCR tests done everyday locally. A total of around 1200 tests done in the district daily. Though there has been a rise in cases, but 80% people have been cured and discharged from hospitals. The collector requests people testing positive and placed in home isolation, not to venture out before completion of the 17-day period. He warns that action would be taken against those who venture out during home isolation period, as per the law. “There are sufficient beds in hospitals with oxygen facility. Patients in home isolation must report the visiting RRT if experiencing any breathing problem or other complications. They would be immediately taken care of,” he said.
