Senior Video Editor Rudra Prasad Mohapatra Loses COVID-19 Battle Today

Bhubaneswar: Senior Video Editor Rudra Prasad Mohapatra passed away here today. Rudra was 44 and was afflicted with COVID-19.

Rudra worked with several leading media organisations during his career spanning over two decades. He started with ETV, went on to work with CNN IBN as a Graphics Editor and then moved to OTV. At OTV he was working as the Post Production Head.

Rudra had tested positive for COVID-19 a few days back and admitted to KIMS COVID Hospital here. On Tuesday night, he developed complications following which the doctors shifted him to the ICU.

Rudra breathed his last today morning. His colleagues and the media fraternity in the State remembered Rudra as an amiable, humble and talented person. He is always with a smile in his face and good to all. He was loved by all in and out media fraternity.

He is survived by his wife and a 12-year-old daughter.

A native of Dhenkanal Rudra was living in Bhubaneswar for the past 15 years. A couple of years back, he quit mainstream media and launched his own venture – Adpixindia. The firm was into post-production, video editing and also offered courses to aspiring editors.

A pall of gloom descended on the media fraternity in Bhubaneswar following Rudra’s demise. He was popular among friends and very helpful, a former colleague of Rudra said.
