Bhubaneswar: Taking a break from the grim record of highest single-day detection’s, Odisha registered 1643 new novel coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours. The total on Saturday reached at 44,193, reported I&PR Department.
Of the new cases, 1018 were in quarantine and rest 625 are local contact cases.
As of Thursday morning, there are 15,189 active cases and 28,697 recoveries.
Of the new cases that are spread over 28 districts, the highest of 274 cases are from the two corona hotspot districts Ganjam and Khordha. These two were followed by 136 in Rayagada, 118 in Sundargarh and 112 in Sambalpur.
