Bhubaneswar: Ten staff members of the Health and Family Welfare Department of the Odisha government have tested positive for COVID-19.
Additional Chief Secretary Pradip Ku Mohapatra confirmed the update with OMMCOM NEWS.
Previously, an employee of the department in Lok Sewa Bhawan had tested positive. Subsequently, swab samples of all employees housed at the Odisha Secretariat were sent for testing. After the results came back positive for ten of them, they were advised for home isolation.
Mohapatra added that the department is not affected by employees testing positive. They are availing the option of working from home using a VPN for disposing of files in OSWAS.
