Baripada: A major fire broke out at the Main Market complex in Rairangpur town at Mayurbhanj district on early Thursday morning. No loss of life has been reported, so far.
The fire has so far gutted around 10-12 shops of the market complex near the Sharma Hotel. The reason for the fire was unknown but a short circuit in one of the shops is suspected to be the cause. Several fire engines and three water tankers under the Bamanaghati Sub-division are attempting to contain the blaze as this report was being filed.
Mayurbhanj SP was present at the site to oversee the entire operation.
