Bhubaneswar: Three pairs of special trains will start running from September 12 to facilitate the return of migrant workers from Odisha to workplaces.
Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas has informed through a tweet that three pairs of special train services on Puri-Ahmedabad, Puri-Gandhidham, Puri-Okha routes will start running from September 12.
Pradhan has said these train services will be in addition to the Shramik Specials and special trains already under operation.
These trains will further ensure the safe transport of people travelling to re-join work in different States, he added.
Worth mentioning, Pradhan had in a letter urged Railway Minister Piyush Goyal to re-operationalize Shramik Special trains from Odisha to States like Gujarat, Karnataka, and Maharashtra to facilitate the return of migrant workers to their workplaces.
