About 41000 Samples Tested For COVID-19 In Odisha In 24 Hours

Bhubaneswar: A total of 41,275 COVID-19 tests were conducted in Odisha in the last 24 hours, the State Health & Family Welfare Department informed on Tuesday.

Out of this, the Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests count for 6784, the Rapid Antigen Tests count for 34,324 and TrueNAT tests are 167 in numbers.

The cured tally in Odisha touched 99,398 on Monday with 3,034 more patients recovering from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

According to the Health and Family Welfare Department, 892 from Khurda have recovered from the infection, followed by 242 from Mayurbhanj, 168 from Bargarh, 154 from Ganjam, 150 from Cuttack, 139 from Rayagada, 97 from Balasore, 97 from Sundargarh, 95 from Keonjhar, 83 from Sambalpur, 80 from Kendrapada, 79 from Jajapur, 79 from Koraput, 70 from Jharsuguda, 68 from Malkangiri, 58 from Puri, 57 from Jagatsinghpur, 56 from Dhenkanal, 49 from Angul, 46 from Balangir, 42 from Bhadrak, 40 from Kandhamal, 40 from Sonepur, 35 from Nabarangpur, 31 from Nayagarh, 26 from Gajapati, 23 from Kalahandi, 21 from Boudh, 12 from Nuapada and 5 from Deogarh.

The state has so far reported 127892 positive cases while the virus has claimed 556 lives.
