Bhubaneswar: Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, in his capacity as the Chairman Rajya Sabha, has nominated Dr. Amar Patnaik, Member of Rajya Sabha, to be a member of the Samsad (Court) of Visva-Bharati, Shantiniketan and Sriniketan.
“Its an honour and I look forward to the engagement,” said Dr Patnaik after being nominated to the Central University. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the Chancellor of the University.
Dr. Patnaik is among the most educated serving members of Parliament. He’s a post-graduate Fellow from Harvard University, an advanced management alumnus of the Wharton School and Chevening Scholar and holds degrees in diverse fields from Physics to Law. He is an expert in public finance and has held top posts in Public Accounting and auditing under the CAG of India.
He has vast experience in public life. He is also the IT chief of the BJD party, a master political strategist who used highly innovative technology for campaigning in the recent Lok Sabha elections.
