Kendrapara: Irate locals at Haladiagada in Kendrapara district torched a bus after it hit a scooter killing a man on Wednesday.

Reportedly, the bus with registration number WB-41-E-6012 was on its way from Kolkata to Paradip when it hit the scooter coming from the opposite direction.

Following it, locals asked the passengers to alight and torched the bus. By the time the fire brigade arrived, the bus and some luggage were totally gutted in the fire.

While the identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained, he is said to be a small business owner in the area. He was on his way to a relative’s house when the mishap occurred.

କେନ୍ଦ୍ରାପଡା ଖବର—-ଆଜି କେନ୍ଦ୍ରାପଡା ଜିଲ୍ଲାର ମାର୍ଶାଘାଇ ହଳଦିଆ ଗଡା ଛକ ନିକଟରେ ଜାତୀୟ ରାଜପଥ ୫କ ଉପରେ କୋଲକତାରୁ ଆସୁଥିବା ଏକ ଯାତ୍ରୀବାହୀ ଦ୍ରୁତଗାମୀ ବସ ଏକ ସ୍କୁଟି ଚାଳକଙ୍କୁ ଧକାଦେବା ଫଳରେ ସ୍କୁଟି ଚାଳକଙ୍କର ଘଟଣା ସ୍ଥଳରେ ମୃର୍ତୁ ହୋଇଯିବାରୁ, ସ୍ଥାନୀୟ ଉତେକ୍ତ ଲୋକେ ବସଟିକୁ ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଭାବେ ନିଆଁ ଲଗାଇ ଜାଳିଦେଇଥିବା ଜଣାପଡିଛି । ଏପଟେ ଦୃର୍ଘଟଣା ସ୍ଥଳରେ ମାର୍ଶାଘାଇ ପୋଲିସ୍ ଦୃର୍ଘଟ୍ଟଣାଗ୍ରସ୍ଥ ସ୍ଥଳରେ ପହଞ୍ଚି ବସଟିକୁ ଓ ସ୍କୁଟିକୁ ଜବତ୍ କରିବା ସହିତ ଶବ ବ୍ୟବଚ୍ଛେଦ ନିମନ୍ତେ କେନ୍ଦ୍ରାପଡା ଜିଲ୍ଲା ମୂଖ୍ୟ ଚିକିତ୍ସାଳୟକୁ ପଠାଇ ତଦନ୍ତ ଜାରୀ ରଖିଥିବା ବିଶେଷ ସୂତ୍ରରୁ ଖବର ନେବାରୁ ଜଣାପଡିଛି ।*
