Bhubaneswar: In the last 24 hours, 2602 new positive coronavirus cases were reported in Odisha even as 10 patients succumbed because of the virus.
The total confirmed cases in the State touched 1,03,536. Of the new cases, 1561 were in quarantine and 1041 were local contact cases.
Cases continued to surge in Khordha district as 616 new cases were detected. Here is the district-wise distribution of cases:
The death toll, meanwhile, is gradually inching towards 500 mark. With 10 deaths in last 24 hours, the toll touch 492 today. Of these, 3 are from Kandhamal, 2 from Khordha and one each from Ganjam, Nayagarh, Sundargarh and Rayagada districts. One death was also reported from Bhubaneswar.
