Moderate To Heavy Rain & Thundershower In Parts Of Odisha, Predicts IMD

Bhubaneswar: The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over Odisha during next 24 hours.

On Monday, the IMD said, thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over: Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Rayagada.

“Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj tomorrow,” the IMD bulletin added.

For Tuesday, September 1, the IMD has predicted heavy rainfall at Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara Rayagada, Gajapati, Malkangiri, Jajpur.

“Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over: Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Puri, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Dhenkanal on September 1”

For Bhubaneswar the IMD said, the sky would be partly cloudy with possibility of development of thunder/lightning. Maximum and minimum temperature would be 35°C and 26°C respectively in the Capital City during the next 24 hours, the IMD bulletin added.
