Bhubaneswar: Odisha on Friday reported 2698 new virus cases taking its overall tally to 72718. The State’s death toll due to SARS-nCoV infection also rose to 390 with 10 more patients succumbing to the disease on Friday.
Virus cases continued a downward trend in Ganjam with the district registering 162 cases. This is the first time the district has reported case numbers below 200-mark in the past several weeks.
COVID19 cases maintained a steep spike of more than 200 cases in Cuttack. 8 districts reported over 100-plus cases with Khordha witnessing the State’s highest of 475 cases today. Koraput, Rayagada, Sundargarh, Balasore also reported more than 100-plus cases.
