Jajpur: Three of a family were killed in a terrible road accident which also left two critically injured. The accident occurred at Rathia Chhaka under Dharmashala police limits of Jajpur district, today early morning.
As per reports, the family of five was travelling in a four-wheeler from Bhubaneswar to West Bengal’s Medinipur. At Rathia Chhaka, the car crashed into a stationary truck from behind. Three were killed on the spot.
In a critical condition, the other two were first taken to Dharmashala CHC and then referred to SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack.
There are two males and one female among the deceased. The identities are yet to be ascertained. Upon intimation, the local police arrived at the scene and have seized the vehicle. A probe is underway.
