COVID-19: Odisha Logs 1699 New COVID-19 Cases In Last 24 Hours Highest Ever in the table

Bhubaneswar: Breaking its previous record of the highest single-day positive novel coronavirus cases, a staggering 1699 cases were recorded in the last 24 hours. The total surged to 40,717, reported I&PR Department.

Of the new cases, 1073 were in quarantine and rest 626 are local contact cases.

As of Thursday morning, there are 14,700 active cases and 25,737 recoveries.

Of the new cases that are spread over 29 districts, the highest of 268 cases are from Ganjam, followed by 220 in Khordha, 101 in Sambalpur and 101 in Cuttack districts. Sundargarh district also saw highest-ever single-day spike 178 cases.
