Toy Train Service Resumes In Nandankanan Zoo

Bhubaneswar: The toy train service at the Nandankanan Zoo, suspended after a fire break out was reported from its engine on October 16, resumed today after a gap of one month.

Reportedly, the toy train service had been suspended after a fire was reported from its engine due to a technical snag on October 16, hardly after eight days of its inauguration on October 8.

The repair work of the toy train was carried out by Rail India Technical and Economic Service (RITES), a Central PSU under the Ministry of Railways.

The train will make six trips between 10 AM and 4 PM daily and is allowed to carry a maximum of 72 passengers on each trip. Tickets are to be issued 30 minutes prior to the ride.

Further the number of daily trips may increase in future considering the demand and passenger folw.
