COVID-19: 3-Day Shutdown Ordered In Bhuban NAC, Dhenkanal, Odisha

Dhenkanal: The district administration today ordered shutdown for three days in Bhuban Notified Area Council. As per an order issued by the Collector Bhuban will be shutdown from 5th August to 7th August.

More than 40 COVID-19 positives have been reported from Bhuban NAC area in the district, most out of which are local contacts cases. The district administration stated that many persons coming from neighboring (high risk) districts into Bhuban may be carriers and infect healthy people.

“Keeping in view the rising cases of COVID-19 in Bhuban NAC and to contain the local transmission it is essential to take stricter precautionary measures by the Dhenkanal district administration,” the order issued by Collector Bhumesh Chandra Behera read.

There shall be intensive contact tracing in Bhuban during this period. Contacts of the confirmed and suspected cases will be listed, tracked and kept under surveillance at home for 14 days, he added.

“The Active surveillance will start from August 5 and completed by August 7. All ILi and SARI cases either reported in the last 14 days will be tracked and reviewed thoroughly. Swab will be collected from all confirmed contacts and people with symptoms, during this Shutdown period,” the order further read.
