Cuttack Traders To Close Shops At 2 PM Daily From May 3 To 15

Cuttack: In view of the second wave of COVID-19, various trader associations in Cuttack have decided to close shops at 2 PM daily starting from May 3 to 15, informed Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) Commissioner Ananya Das on Friday.

The trader associations gave this proposal at a meeting with the CMC on Thursday. As per which, shops and markets in Cuttack city will be closed after 2 PM. Only pharmacies and emergency services will be open.

All activities will be closed at Mal Godown and Chhatra Bazar market of the city except loading and unloading of goods. However, as it is a voluntary closure, there will be no restrictions on the movement of people and there will be no police blockade.
