Odisha Plus II Science Results Announced, 70.21% Clear Exam

Bhubaneswar: 70.21% have cleared the annual Plus II Science Examination conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha, informed School & Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash here today announcing the publication of annual Plus II Science results.

This year too, boys have outsmarted girls by securing a pass percentage of 39% as compared to 31% by girls.

A total of 68,374 students have cleared the exam, out of which 38,301 are boys and are 30,073, the Minister said.

While 25,339 students have secured 1st Division, 24,121 have been placed in the 2nd division and 18,268 have secured 3rd division, he added.

Nayagarh district has recorded the highest pass percentage with 86.51% while Jharsuguda district has recorded the lowest pass percentage of 40.71, Dash said.
The overall pass percentage has dipped as compared to last year.

While 15 higher secondary schools recorded zero pass results, 20 have 100% pass results.

The Minister informed that students can apply for Plus II admission on the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) portal from August 21 to September 4.

The merit list will be published on September 9, he added.

The Minister further informed that under Chief Minister’s direction, application fees for admissions has been slashed from existing Rs 300 to Rs 200 this year in view of COVID-19
