Odisha Unlock 3: New Guideline For Bhubaneswar Street Food Vendors

Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Tuesday allowed all the street vendors to operate in the Smart city by following certain guidelines in view of COVID-19 pandemic.

All the eateries like roadside food vendors, food vans, thellas serving ‘gupchup’, ‘chaat’ and also tiffin stalls, lassi and juice stall have now been allowed to operate but for takeaway purpose only, said the BMC in a release.

This order has come into effect from today (August 4) till August 31.

Earlier on Monday, restaurant service in hotels were allowed to operate as per SOP issued by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

However, they were also permitted to operate for home delivery/ takeaways of food. Dhabas along National and State Highways/ Major roads were also permitted but for takeaway only.
