2021’s 1st cyclone likely to form over Arabian Sea around May 16, IMD issues warning.

New Delhi: IMD has issued a forecast indicating possible development of a cyclone over the Arabian Sea around May 16. If realised, this will be the first cyclonic storm of 2021 to form in the North Indian Ocean region and will acquire the name Cyclone Tauktae, given by Myanmar.

IMD also issued rainfall warning for Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Lakshadweep Islands.
