A mother of five children was allegedly gang raped by 17 men who held her husband hostage in Jharkhand’s Dumka district .Women said she could identify only one person among those who allegedly assaulted her.
According to the complaint lodged by woman on Wednesday . Police said, the crime allegedly took place under Muffassil police station on Tuesday night when the 35 year old woman was returning from a weekly village market with her husband. Police registered an FIR against 17 people including a person known to the survivor .
An analysis figure , 1033 cases of rape have been filed till July end this year , higher than the figure of 2019 , as per the records of national crime records bureau[NCRB].
